Description

The condition of your crawl space has a major impact on comfort, home value and indoor air quality. It's easy to underestimate the impact your crawl space has on your home. After all, it's not a place that's visited on a regular basis. But the truth is that the condition of your crawl space really does have far-reaching effects that can cost you money while also compromising the value and safety of your home. Many of these issues have to do with crawl space ventilation. The traditional crawl space has openings or vents in crawl space walls that allow outside air to circulate below your living space. In the summer, moist air gathers at the crawl space and condenses on cooler crawl space surfaces. This steady dose of moisture causes to grow and wood to rot. Wet wood also attracts like termites and carpenter ants whose colonies cause additional wood damage. At all times of year, indoor air pollution can cause illnesses because of airborne spores that enter the living space through cracks and gaps in the crawl space floor. That's why we need a built-in de-humidistat crawl space foundation fan ventilator to turn on/off automatically when humidity raises. Main Benefits: 1. Reduces moisture in crawl spaces / foundation to protect home and occupants. 2. Increases air circulation to prevent condensation and wood rot. 3. Exhausts vent radon gas, treated wood gases and odors, prevents migrating into living areas. The exact proportions of these and other trace elements depend on the specific uses planned for end product. Rust Resistant: An important characteristic of T304 that makes it suitable for damp place use is that it is corrosion-resistant. Chromium binds oxygen on the surface and protects the iron component from oxidation (rust). Long Lasting: The first use of T304 was in brewing and milk production but it was adopted rapidly throughout the food processing and building industry. T304 products will last several human lifetimes when properly maintained. Components: Stainless Steel T430 is a downgrade of T304, but it's still much better then galvanized zinc steel which will begin to rust if any surface damages and cut edges. Calculate Your Crawl Space. For crawl space, we suggest 6 ACHs (Room Size x 6). Durablow dual fans models have 220 CFM (cubic feet per minute). ACH (ac/h) : Air changes per hour, or air change rate, is a measure of the air volume added or removed from a space (normally a room or house) divided by the volume of the space. Room Size : Room Inner Space (Length x Width x Height) For more information, please see larger images in listing. Low Noise dB Level. For example of dual fans models, the noise level is 50-61 dB . EVA shock absorption pads are also included for installation to minimize the noise. People will NOT noticed the ventilation operation in house if installing properly. Works great when plugged into a humidistatI installed this in our storage room under our water front house (house on stilts). Items were molding in the storage room. This fan circulated enough air to reduce the mold growth. I bought a separate humidistat to plug it into. I’ve been happy with the grade of the stainless steel. It has not shown any signed of corrosion. I can hear the fan from inside the house or else I would give it 5 stars.CAUTION! I have purchased two of these products, the last one I received, the neutral, hot, and ground lines were mislabeled. Resulting in voltage feeding onto the neutral line of the wiring of my house. After frying two laptop power supplies, and the electronics in my fridge, an electrician found the issue. This product. I was told it could have easily started a fire, or hurt someone. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.I have this fan changing air in crawlspace of about 700 cu ft. The little fan does move a lot of air and seems to be adequate for the space. To me the fan makes very little noise. The only thing I've wondered about is that the fan has yet to shut off when the temps are well below 35 degrees. The only thing I can figure is that because the crawlspace is against the wall of a heated basement and that the exit air is warmed enough to stay above 35. I may install a switch later so it can be shut down on those very cold nights, but in the meantime will let her run, which is 24/7.Very quiet and moves a lot of air.Worked as stated and no problems.Had good instructionsNo problems here...good itemWell built, easy to install, lots of leeway in the mounting brackets but the wiring diagram shows the line connection is the middle wire when that is actually the ground wire - I ended up opening up the unit to confirm and I am very pleased I did. Other than that it is quiet and working well.It works very good. Bought 3 in case I need more air flow and returned the other 2. 1200 sq ft old home was having some issues with stagnant air coming up into the house from crawl space. This did the trick to suck the air from crawl space and pull it outside.Great product and hope to see it in service soon...
