Mine came dented like everyone elses, but that's of no importance to me. It's hardly noticeable and it's going to end up dinged and blackened by brew days anyhow. I have only used this as a brew kettle, not as a mash tun with the false bottom and bazooka. The false bottom leaves an uneven gap between it and the kettle. If I were using it as a mash tun, I would most definitely want to keep the bazooka attached as well because grains will make their way through that gap for sure.I've also seen a guy jam his bazooka with hop residue in one of these, so I'm a little wary of either of those accessories. The thermometer attaches and seals well with the silicone o-rings provided. Was excited to adjust the temperature and moved it a little for accuracy and then it stopped adjusting completely. Some connected between the adjustment screw and the thermometer must be cheap and broke off. It reads within a few degrees of being accurate and everyone uses a better handheld thermometer anyhow. The spigot assembly is of good quality. The instructions aren't very good as to the configuration of all the seals, but the seals are of good quality as well and I was able to get it sealed up without too much fiddling with it.Overall, great boil kettle. Light, yet sturdy and it was a breeze to clean with a little pbw. Looking forward to more brew days with this.
